WONDER KIDS

The new children's ministry at Robert McClure

YOUTH GROUP

The youth ministry at RMUC exists to REACH out to all youth, to INCLUDE them in a safe and fun community where they can SHARE in God's wonder, GROW to be like Jesus, and CARE for each other, this church, and the world.

The youth group at Robert McClure is for youth between the ages of 12 and 18. They meet during the service every Sunday from September to June. During this time they work on group building and have discussions on topics of interest to today's youth. They also meet every third Saturday for a variety of fun activities. These "fun nights" have included laser tag, bowling, mini-golf, dinner theatre, hockey, skating, swimming, and movie nights. Sometimes the fun nights become overnight retreats for things such as our Christmas Party and 30 Hour Famine. They also go on a camping trip in May or June.

BASICS OF FAITH

Come along on a journey of discovery as we examine and tackle the big topics of our faith. If you are a seeker, a doubter, a questioner, an explorer, this is the group for you. On this journey we support one another in our learning, honour each person's story, and establish a sense of community as we gather.

INN FROM THE COLD

RMUC hosts an overnight program for individuals and families who would normally be on the street. They come for a hot meal, have a bed to sleep in, and breakfast in the morning. This takes place on the third Friday of every second month.

SACRED CIRCLE

Sacred Circle seeks to deepen our experience and understanding of The Holy through prayer, meditation, and connection with The Divine and with each other. When we share our story from our heart level, and honour the story and experience of others, we create sacred space and holy moments. Join us for a time of refreshing and restoring rest in the presence of God.

UNITED CHURCH WOMEN

UCW creates an opportunity for any women over the age of 12 to come together. Some activities include sunshine friends, the candlelight christmas service and party, breakfast meetings, hosting an "un-tea", and helping a local charity.

FUNDRAISING AND CATERING

This is a group that is always looking for new people. They cater dinners both here at McClure and can always use more hands to help prepare food, serve, and clean-up.

COMMUNITY GARDEN

The purpose of the community garden is to reduce food budgets, provide access to nutritional food, and opportunities to socialize. Plots are rented out each spring for a small fee.

PROPERTY AND MAINTENANCE

This group looks after the upkeep if our building and grounds. Some tasks include cutting the grass and painting.

WORSHIP PLANNING TEAM

This team is for people who are interested in planning worship Sunday by Sunday! The team decides how often they meet and how many services they will plan.

WORSHIP COMMITTEE

This committee is the "background" support of worship. Some of the things they do include setting up the sanctuary, the welcome, serving coffee, planning each years worship schedule, planning certain services, and organizing other events.

ADMINISTRATIVE BOARD

The board manages the day-to-day, week-to-week work of the church. They normally meet once a month.

CHOIR

The RMUC Choir meets every Thursday night at 8:00. The choir participates in Sunday morning worship as well as at special services throughout the year. They also host an end of the year concert that is advertised throughout the city. Everyone is welcome to join regardless of skill level.

BAND

The band meets at 7:30 on Monday nights. This group adds even more energy to Sunday morning worship. They also host a Stampede Service in July and perform at other events in the city.

WORSHIP AND PRAISE TEAM

This team of singers and guitar players meet at 7pm on Thursday nights. They lead pre-worship singing and hymns during the service.
